Personal Injury Lawyers San Diego

Harris Personal Injury Lawyers filed a complaint January 18 in San Diego Superior Court against Richard Fischer of the San Diego County Sheriffs Department, the San Diego County Sheriffs Department and the County of San Diego alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, last August, a San Marcos resident, Eric Jacobs, was attacked by a San Diego County Sheriffs Deputys dog after his family called 911 for assistance in their own home about a potential intruder in their garage. The suit says, when deputies arrived on the scene, the K9 German Shepard was allegedly let off the leash, and it attacked the homeowner Eric Jacobs.
Per the complaint, the German Shepherd Dog bit his leg and caused severe injury. The plaintiffs allege the defendants, two deputies, took approximately two minutes to successfully pull the dog off Jacobs. As a result, Jacobs suffered from a severed tendon, a damaged ligament, lacerated blood vessels, puncture wounds and severe damage to the muscles in his leg.
Also stated in the complaint, Jacobs has incurred significant medical bills associated with his injuries and will continue to incur expenses associated with ongoing treatment, care, medications and other incidental care associated with the attack. Jacobs is represented by attorneys Ryan Harris and John Clayton of Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc. in Oceanside.
